Working across the whole state means dealing with conditions that change completely from one region to the next. Southern California's long dry season desiccates expansive clay and the winter atmospheric rivers saturate it within days, and that hard annual swing pulls clay bell joints apart. Postwar tract cities built between 1945 and the early 1970s carry Orangeburg fibre conduit that cannot be jetted or lined. The Inland Empire, San Diego and the Coachella Valley run largely on mineral-rich imported water from the Colorado River Aqueduct and the State Water Project, so cast iron there scales heavily, while San Francisco's soft Hetch Hetchy supply makes the same iron corrode and thin instead. Bay mud and bay fill under Alameda, Oakland's flatlands and parts of San Mateo County keep consolidating, so laterals sag into bellies rather than clogging. Groundwater overdraft has permanently lowered ground level across stretches of the San Joaquin Valley, pulling laterals out of grade in Fresno, Bakersfield, Visalia and Stockton. And California is the one state where earthquakes are a routine cause of offset joints.

None of that is knowable from the street, which is why every job here starts with a camera. We survey the full run, identify the pipe material and era, locate any defect for position and depth, and give you the footage with a written list of what we found. Then we quote. We would rather tell you that a cable clearance is all you need, or that the honest answer is a short spot repair instead of jetting the same line twice a year, than sell you the larger job.
